We all know that being overweight will reduce our quality of life in many ways, yet often that doesnā€™t quite register.Ā  So something like saying, ā€œoh, Iā€™m not into thatā€, ā€œthatā€™s not my thingā€,Ā  ā€œ Iā€™m busyā€,Ā  or just not being comfortable with, or opting for easier ways, or ā€œchoosingā€ not to participate,Ā  are just the resulting behaviors of a diminishing quality of life.Ā  These excuses more times than not are not even conscious behaviors, but they begin to become the ā€œnormā€, and are considered preferences, but are they really?Ā  Ā

I just came back from the ā€œFall Fabulousā€ retreat with Mimi. It is indeed fabulous! We stayed at a lake front house surrounded by the beautiful nature. The view was breathtaking, and the house was so adorable and cozy! We had a personal chef cooking for us, and the every meal was so delicious! Wish I could have that kind of food everyday! We did yoga indoors and outdoors. Each session was different it involved stretching, core strengthening, even dancing! and I felt so good afterwards every time. We went to festivals, hiking, museums etc. I just had so much fun! Mimi was sweet, kind and well organized. We didnā€™t have to worried anything just enjoy every minute of the trip. It was truly a memorizable experience and I liked it so much that I canā€™t wait for the next one (hopefully in the spring)! Highly recommend yoga with Mimi and everything else!

Her classes are fun, challenging, and varied and her warmth and positivity really resonates with me and everyone she meets. I attended her retreat in Sedona, AZ as well where we toured the red rocks, Grand Canyon, and did yoga on the energy vortex spots- it was a life changing experience. I canā€™t say enough good things about Mimi, she is a beautiful soul. Also, her boutique in Forest Hills is adorable! I bought jewelry, candles, body scrub and the elephant stool. Highly recommend!

After many years of taking Mimiā€™s yoga and pilates classes, I still take as many of her classes as I can fit into my schedule. The classes are always fun and challenging. When in-person classes were not possible, Mimi started offering a variety of Zoom classes, including a special series on meditation that was just what we needed when we had to isolate at home. Mimi is extremely knowledgeable and always professional, yet she manages to make each class interesting and her style of teaching encourages the student to keep improving. I recently moved to the Forest Hills area and found a flyer for puppy yoga! My dog cookie and I were greeted by Mimiā€™s dog Romeo who is such a gentleman and gave a warm welcome! I highly recommend "Mimi for Me" Yoga classes. I had the privilege of attending her virtual strength and stability chair yoga class on zoom for almost two years. I 'm implementing several of her tips and "snippets" (as she calls them) at the start of my day. Mimi Borda is a very knowledgeable instructor. Every session is different and engaging. I suffer from arthritis on my hip and feet and this has definitely helped me find relief. I definitely look forward to her weekly class.
